Since I've been sitting on my arse in my living room not being able to work on Rat-L-Trap I decided to build some models. I just finished this 56 Bel Air.

Kinja'd!!!

This is the kit. That hood scoop and flames have got to go. Gross.

Kinja'd!!!

Trim? Ain't nobody got time for that!

Kinja'd!!!

Engine. It is very shiny.

Kinja'd!!!

Wheels. Red with baby moons of course.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Completed.

2 months, everyday, to make that. Haven't built many since, just can't top it. I'm building a slammed F-350 right now though.

That's awesome, I have that exact same model, still boxed, that I've been wanting to modify into a lookalike of the 55 Chevrolet on Two Lane Blacktop, but I'm so horrid at building these I've yet to give it a try...

I had that kit. Bought it for the wheels back when I used to kit bash.... They ended up on a van I was building to be a A-Team van replica. Never finished it. :(

You just need a razor, some sand paper and glue.

It's the first level 2 kit I've put together. Looking at all that white plastic in the box is intimidating.

I have a '57 Bel Air model I want to use to "replicate" the Roadkill Blapshemi. your model just reminded me of it. I am aware that they have a '55.

I thought about doing this but I didn't know what to do to get that front axle right.

Awesome! The tri-five Chevys are my absolute favorite classic. I will own one someday.
